All of the tamariki who come to our school are behind in their learning – often multiple years behind. It is our mission to help accelerate their progress and our vision to help them meet their potential.

We do this through providing support with excellent ratios of teachers and assistant teachers and through the use of outstanding teaching instruction. We teach using direct and explicit instruction and we have protocols for almost all aspects of our teaching day, so all our children know what to expect and how to manage their learning.

All of our teaching staff receive additional training in the Science of Learning and receive coaching in direct and explicit instruction. We all work together to improve learning outcomes for our children. We offer a supportive, caring and fun learning environment where we all focus on continual improvement and working together to assist children who suffer from academic distress.
